Another major Division 1A program is starting to show interest in Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) QB/ATH Marcus Davis . And, in what seems to be a growing trend among the schools involved, quarterback is the position this program is recruiting the 6-5, 215-pound standout to play.

The newest program in the Davis mix is Ohio State.

“I’m starting to get calls from Ohio State,” Davis said. “It is kind of in the beginning stages, but I think if I keep showing interest then they’ll soon offer. They talked to my coach and then they talked to me last Tuesday. They were telling me that they liked my highlight tape. They liked how I made decisions. They said they are recruiting for quarterbacks and they are recruiting me as a quarterback.”

Ohio State joins Penn State and Virginia Tech as the programs that are now recruiting Davis initially to play quarterback. Florida (no offer), North Carolina and Tennessee are recruiting him as a wide receiver. Does Davis have a preference to play quarterback on the next level?
