Virginia Tech’s first commitment from the 2008 senior camp comes from 6-3, 235-pound tight end recruit Eric Martin . Martin, a standout out of Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, becomes the sixth rising high school senior to commit to the Hokies in the 2008 class.

Martin committed to Tech earlier today after receiving a full scholarship offer.

“Growing up, I always loved Tech,” said Martin, who received the offer shortly after camp. “Today, I had a chance to meet the coaches and they were great. I liked them all. I’m really excited.”

The Tech coaches were impressed with Martin’s recent performance at the Liberty Camp in Northern Virginia. He performed well again today, earning the official offer.
