Virginia Tech recently became the first school to extend a scholarship offer to 5-11, 185-pound First Colonial (Virginia Beach, VA) running back Tony Gregory . Virginia Tech was one of two schools the standout recruit grew up following, so he was excited by the offer.

“I was excited because I am fond of Virginia Tech,” Gregory said. “I’ve always watched them on TV. I think I would enjoy being in their program. I had two schools I watched growing up, but it was Virginia Tech mainly. I also liked Miami.”

Virginia Tech is high on Gregory’s list. But, he does not expect to make a decision any time soon.

“I haven’t really thought about making a decision,” Gregory said. “I’m excited about going through the recruiting process. I don’t know about committing early.”
