Oglesby Enjoys Official Visit to VT

This past weekend, Josh Oglesby experienced a brief preview of what life will be like at Virginia Tech (at least as much as you can on an official visit). The 5-11, 205-pound running back recruit plans to enroll at Virginia Tech in January, so it won’t be long before he will officially be a Hokie.

“The official visit was real good,” Oglesby said. “The game, and I guess it was because it was against Virginia, had a different atmosphere than before (Josh came for the Clemson game). It was louder. Lane Stadium was definitely rocking.

“Overall, I felt real comfortable. I had two other recruits with me – Odom and Tucker. I hung out with those two and we had Dorian Porch and Jahre Cheeseman showing us around. Those guys were pretty cool. We hung out at Ed Wang’s crib. We hung out at Justin Harper’s. I met Vince Hall and a whole bunch of players. They seemed like pretty good guys.”

Oglesby not only spent a lot of time with the players, but he spent some time with the coaches as well. More importantly, though, his parents had a chance to get to know the coaches better.
