Drager Aiming for August Decision

Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson, PA) tight end/defensive end prospect Chris Drager added scholarship offers from Maryland and Pittsburgh to his list this past week, giving him a total of seven official Division 1A scholarship offers. Techsideline.com caught up with the 6-4, 235-pound standout yesterday for comments on his most recent offer (Pitt), his offer from Virginia Tech and to find out when he plans on making a commitment.

Pitt came in with an offer on Saturday following Drager’s impressive performance at their camp.

“I was pretty excited. It’s been a long time, but I’m still happy that they gave it to me,” Drager said. ”Pitt was looking at me for defensive end, but I was working out with tight ends at the Nike camp because that’s where most schools want me to play. They wanted to see me at d-end, so I went to their camp last week and played a little bit of d-end in practice.”

Virginia Tech came in with a scholarship offer one the final day of the Evaluation period. Drager, who had enjoyed a visit to Blacksburg earlier this year, gave his thoughts on Tech’s offer.
