6-0, 190-pound Davon Morgan has been somewhat disappointed with his recruitment to date, although it looks like another major program is starting to pick up its interest while several others continue to show serious interest. The Varina (VA) star does not plan to make an early decision at this point and may take his recruitment into his senior season.

“Some teams are looking, but it isn’t really the heavy interest like I thought it would be,” Morgan said. “I don’t know what it is, but apparently a lot of coaches think I’m just going to go to Virginia Tech or whatever. I heard that from a couple of coaches.

“Florida is showing interest, and so is Colorado and Wake Forest. That’s about it. I talked to coach Gonzalez from Florida last month. He said I should be expecting an offer soon. Our team is also going to West Virginia’s camp next Wednesday. A coach from there called me last month and said he was looking forward to me coming up there.”

Michigan and Virginia Tech have already extended official scholarship offers. The Wolverines, however, have not been heavily recruiting Morgan for one reason.
