Television Coverage Announced for Four Tech Football Games

On Tuesday, the ACC released their preseason football television schedule, which lists the starting times and TV coverage for 18 games featuring ACC teams in the first three weeks of the season, as well as Thursday night games. Times and TV coverage of four Virginia Tech games were included.

On September 9, the Hokies will travel to UNC to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. The ACC announced that ESPN has picked up the game and will televise it at noon. Tech will also play a noon game the next Saturday, September 16, against the Duke Blue Devils. Lincoln Financial Sports/Raycom has picked up the Duke game. The game will be broadcast in the ACC region.

Virginia Tech will play two Thursday night games this season as well. On October 12, the Hokies travel to Chestnut Hill to square off against the Boston College Eagles. Two weeks later, October 26, the Clemson Tigers will visit Blacksburg. Both games will kickoff at 7:30pm and will be broadcast by ESPN.

It was announced some time ago that Virginia Tech’s out-of-conference games will kickoff at 1:30pm, unless they are picked up by television. The Hokies will host Northeastern, Cincinnati, Southern Mississippi and Kent State in out-of-conference home games this fall.

Football schedules on TSL have been updated to reflect this new information.
