This past weekend perhaps was Virginia’s final chance to impress Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA) 6-3, 240-pound defensive end John Graves . Graves, who will take an official visit to Virginia Tech this weekend and may make a decision as soon as next week, enjoyed his time in Charlottesville.

“I thought it was a fun visit,” Graves said. “Eugene Monroe was my host. He was a lot of fun. I just enjoyed chilling with him and playing video games.”

Relationship with players is an important factor for Graves, who felt good about UVa’s players following the visit.

“They are great people,” Graves said of the UVa players he spent time
with. In addition to Monroe, he spent a lot of time with freshman offensive guard Branden Albert. “They are all great people.”
