Meadowbrook (Richmond, VA) defensive end John Graves may be the next state of Virginia top 10 player to make a decision. The 6-3, 240-pound Monarchs star hopes to make a commitment by Christmas and will make key official visits each of the next two weekends.

“I’m pretty much going to make my decision in the next couple of weeks,” Graves said. “I’m going to UVa this weekend and Virginia Tech next weekend. I actually want to decide before Christmas. I will look into every aspect. After I take my official visits, I’ll come back and talk to my parents about everything. After I make my decision, I don’t plan on backing off.”

Graves was considering offers from Georgia and Florida as well, but only one – the University of Georgia – remains in contention. Graves made an official visit to Athens earlier this fall and says Georgia “still is in there. The visit there was a good experience for myself.”

Though Georgia remains in the picture, the two in-state programs appear to have the edge.
