Martin State’s Top Safety?

In what promises to be a rich year in terms of in-state talent next season, at least 13 prospects have received at least one scholarship offer this early in the recruiting process. One of those 13 players is George Washington (Danville, VA) star Cameron Martin .

Martin, a 6-2 ½, 178 pound safety, has drawn written scholarships from Virginia Tech and Virginia. Schools interested include UNC, Boston College, Maryland, West Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, NC State, and Clemson.

Martin’s plan as of right now is to wait and take at least a few official visits before making his decision.

“I’ll be waiting,” Martin said when asked if he would decide early or wait until his senior year to make a decision. “Virginia Tech and Virginia are the two schools I know most about, but I would say I’m pretty open now. I do want to take my time and see all of my options.”
