Will Bell Play This Season?

George Bell is such a good prospect, that he may not even play one down his senior season and still will be one of the most highly recruited running backs in the East.

The Jack Britt HS star is, when healthy, one of the best backs in the country. At 5-11, 225 pounds, Bell is a physical specimen. He can bench press 365 pounds, squat 420 pounds, and can run the 40 in 4.4 seconds. His combination of speed and power had college coaches lining up to offer scholarships.

Things changed in the fourth game of Bell’s junior season, when he suffered a severe knee injury. He has been rehabilitating his knee ever since and recovery is going well. The knee is about 85% healthy at this point.

While he wants to get back on the field for his senior season, Bell will not rush his comeback. He is comfortable sitting out his senior season if necessary.
