State’s Top Receiver Looking for Title

Westfield wide receiver Eddie Royal is looking for big things from his team this season. As a senior, he, along with quarterback Sean Glennon, hopes to lead Westfield to a state championship title.

Royal believes that his team has the ingredients to capture a championship and looks forward to proving so on the field.

“We have a complete team,” said Royal, who is one of the state’s top prospects. “Last year, it wasn’t all just me and Sean. Justin Born, who is a rising senior also, has been overlooked this off-season. He’s going to be a really good receiver. Our tailback is Evan Royster (brother of former Fairfax standout and current Stanford receiver Brandon Royster), and he’s going to be a good one. He’s only a sophomore, but he will be able to choose which school he wants to go to [by the time he’s a senior].

“On defense, we have Franks Mills, who transferred from TC Williams. He’s a 6-1, 225 pound defensive end and he’s crazy. I wouldn’t want to be the one to block him…I don’t think you can.”
